چکیده

Although selection tests are typically validated against only a single criterion, calls in the personnel selection literature urge the examination of selection devices across multiple criteria. This study examined biodata criterion-related validity across multiple performance criteria in a sample of 6,036 automated systems controller applicants. The performance measures examined included a paper and pencil knowledge test, behavioral ratings of simulation performance, and a paper and pencil test of simulated problems. The results suggested that the biodata instrument was useful in predicting performance across a number of criteria. The use of a shortened biodata scale captured 89% of the corrected criterion validity obtained from the original 142-item biodata instrument. Practical implications of these findings are discussed. ____________________________________________________________________

The Effects of the Predictive Ability of Accruals and Cash Flows on Earnings Quality: Evidences from TSE

This paper examines the effects of the predictive ability of accruals and cash flows on earnings quality in Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE). In this study we have used two methods: cross-section and pooled for testing hypothesis. The results show that Sloan model has the strongest ability to predict future earnings, and cash component earnings have more ability than accruals component earnings for ...

The Relationship between Iranian EFL Learners’ Multiple Intelligences and their Writing Performance across Different Genders

After Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences Theory (MIT), some language teaching practitioners set out to teach students in a way to help their dominant intelligence(s) blossom. In an EFL context, usually teachers’ main focus is to develop communication skills. Nowadays, writing is one of the main ways by which people communicate. Thus, this study aimed at investigating possible relationship between...

An Examination of Biodata Theory-Based Constructs in a Field Context

This study examined whether items from a biodata inventory were consistent with theorybased constructs as suggested by the ecology model. The model posits five constructs explain biodata predictive ability. Items were sorted using the theory-based construct domains. The resulting scale scores were assessed for evidence of content, criterionrelated, and construct validity in a sample of 6032 aut...

An extended intuitionistic fuzzy modified group complex proportional assessment approach

Complex proportional assessment (COPRAS) methodology is one of the well-known multiple criteria group decision-making (MCGDM) frameworks that can focus on proportional and direct dependences of the significance and utility degree of candidates under the presence of mutually conflicting criteria in real-worldcases. This studyelaboratesa newintuitionistic fuzzy modified group complex proportional...
